The Next Chapter –
Will you be ready to turn the page?

What will your life be like when you find yourself in those years that have typically been reserved for retirement? Perhaps you are not planning on changing your work situation - either because you have no desire to stop working, or you feel like you can't afford to make a change. Or maybe you are looking forward to this time period as one of relaxation, free from the work obligations of the past 40+ years. Whatever the case may be, consider this:

Our situations today are very different compared to when the concept of retirement was first introduced. As a general rule, we are living longer, experiencing better health, and have aspirations far beyond simply living a life of leisure during retirement. We have skills, knowledge, and talents that are not ready to be put on the shelf just yet. The fact is, this chapter of our lives provides us with the opportunity to do so much, and in order to make it the best, we need to have a plan.

At the same time, our environment has become more complicated. As the debate over the future of health insurance, Medicare, and Social Security continues, it is becoming increasingly more confusing. Additionally, the economic conditions over the last few years have resulted in unexpected financial volatility for many of us, which has increased the level of uncertainty. The unfortunate outcome of these complications has been a delay in planning altogether, and a common feeling that this transition cannot occur positively.

Transforming Transitions will clear the roadblock to the planning process, and will help you proactively shape your future (versus allowing it to "just happen"). We will work with individuals to create comprehensive plans, including primarily the non financial elements of the transition, taking into consideration healthy aging and wellness, as well as exploring meaning and purpose through employment, relationships, volunteerism, and travel.
